What is your role at Brand Federation?
Engagement Lead
What work are you doing now and what about it inspires you?
Right now, I’m working with a client in the technology/consulting space. It’s fun to watch a company redefine, reinvigorate and relaunch its brand. The process is rooted in strategy, is backed by insights and brings others along on the way.
What superpower do you bring your clients and colleagues?
My personal leadership statement is, “I create unique value, I am uniquely valued, and I find unique value in others.” I’m a creative and high-energy person, and I like to find the uniqueness in things and pull that forward. So, I guess my superpower is a blend of that creativity, energy, and uniqueness. That, and x-ray vision.
Why did you join the Brand Federation team?
A friend told me about the organization, and while I hadn’t heard of Brand Federation before, I knew of Kelly and Matt. I spent some time networking with various team members to learn more about all BF had to offer members of The Federation. As I learned more about the model, it became clear that this is a place where talented people are driving truly meaningful, high-impact outcomes. I left those conversations knowing this was something I wanted to be part of. It’s the kind of environment where I can bring my unique skills and experiences to the table in a way that adds real value—for the company and, just as importantly, for the clients we serve.”
Do you have a recent (or all-time) book, movie or podcast that you’d recommend?
My smart answer is I really like Team of Teams by General Stanley McChrystal, but let’s just say one of my favorite book series is one made popular by BookTok.
What gets your energy and time outside of work?
I've got a close-knit family. My husband and I have two daughters, who are both in high school, so our days are packed with sports games and school activities. I am also a runner, and I'm currently training for two marathons. Not only is running activity that pushes you mentally and physically, it’s also my time to brainstorm and I think through ideas.
